Case IH produced a wheel-mounted steam engine tractor in 1869. It was the first of its kind. And although it still had to be drawn and pulled by horses, the steam engine was more powerful and efficient than anything that came before it.
Then, in 1923, the legendary Farmall® tractor was introduced. A true revolution in light tractor design, it was perfect for plowing, cultivation, and harvesting. These tractors are still in production today.

Increasing Productivity
The Advanced Farming System (AFS)® that Case pioneered allowed farmers to monitor crop yields via sensors on their equipment in tandem with GPS, maximizing planning and productivity. Today, AFS is a must in large-scale cash crop operations.
And when it comes to cash crops, Case IH also introduced the first two-row sugarcane harvester with variable row spacing in 2013. This new design doubles the harvest rate and changes the way sugar cane growers plan their harvests.
Winning Awards
The Case IH Steiger tractor was voted the tractor of the year in 2014 at AgriTechnica, a huge farming expo held each year in Hanover, Germany.
In 2015, The Case IH Magnum tractor won tractor of the year awards. On that model, Case introduced the innovative Magnum RowTrac, making it part track vehicle and part wheel vehicle.
