Attachments and implements are very useful. They expand a piece of equipment’s functionality, allowing it to perform jobs it previously couldn’t. Compare the price of buying a new piece of equipment to fulfill a particular function to the cost of buying an attachment to perform the same job, and it’s clear which is more economical. If you’re interested in learning more about the types of attachments available for your equipment, check out this article from West Hills Tractor.

Loaders

A loader attachment consists of two hydraulic arms that extend out in front of the equipment. What function the loader actually performs depends upon what is attached to the front of the arms. For example, many loaders have buckets in order to scoop and dig out material. Others have snow plows, couplers, forks, rakes, grapplers, and so on. Loader attachment can usually be swapped out at will, making this one of the most versatile implements on the market.

Landplanes

Landplanes are used to smooth out dirt to create a flat driveway or field. A landplane consists of two forward-cutting blades that both make contact with the ground simultaneously. Loose material gets kicked up before being filtered over the attachment and settling again.

Backhoes

Backhoe attachments essentially turn your equipment into an excavator. They’re very useful when you want to dig a hole, trench, or foundation.
